Collection: Colourful Pathways series

One of my mottos in life is to take one step at a time, represented here in the stepping stone pathways through colourful surroundings.

These paintings reflect the feelings and memories I have of walking around RHS Hyde Hall Gardens, close to where I live, whereby at every turn, there is something beautiful coming into bloom.

They followed an abstract mark making course I took with Betty Franks, and yet although they began as unplanned abstract pieces, the shapes quickly became familiar and reminiscent, taking the paintings out of complete abstraction and into a disrupted reality.
